Two-Day International Forum Event
Inspirational & enlightening program focusing on the Human-Nature Connection & Entanglement with a strong emphasis on extraordinary scientific and biological research advances and new discoveries.
As an extended project of the Wildlife Education Foundation (WEF), a registered NPO and PBO since 2010, the LESELI Experience focuses on providing educational opportunities & experiences to support a holistic and scientific understanding of the Human-Nature Connection and entanglement.
The WEF, together with the LESELI Experience Project (https://leseli.africa) and the new International Forum on Human-Nature Connection, have the following exclusive goals:
- Providing Educational Opportunities to support a holistic and scientific understanding of our existence and entanglement with our living world and beyond;
- Foster excellence in biological and scientific education and encourage the development of nature and environmental programs in general by coordinating and facilitating conferences, seminars, courses, and training programs in modern research techniques and understanding of the Human-Nature entanglement;
- Promote the exchange of scientific, educational, and cultural information between industry, educators, students, and the general public by providing facilities and resources to support educational and research opportunities;
- Facilitate and coordinate programs for students, young adults, and educators as related to science, technology, nature discovery, and the arts, in recognition of the importance of educating the leaders of today and tomorrow;
- Encourage greater understanding of the human-nature connectedness and entanglement by illuminating extraordinary scientific and biological research advances and new discoveries;
- Sharing educational and cultural information in affirmation of the benefits of lifelong learning and participation in community life;
Supported through sponsorships, donations, grants, and program revenues, WEF activities are often offered in partnership with other educational and environmental organizations, and/or corporate partners with an interest in and passion for promoting a global understanding and appreciation for our living world and in the process, contributing towards a non-destructive society and culture of care and oneness with nature and all life.

Our theme is: Human-Nature Connection and Entanglement.
During this special event, we’ll explore human relationships and entanglement with nature and the larger planetary environment.
Our aim is to contribute to answering important questions, such as:
- How do our perceptions and perspectives intersect with the reality of how our focus and decisions impact our planetary home?
- How can we foster a culture of consciousness that respects all living beings and natural resources, and in the process, contribute to a non-destructive society and culture of care and compassion for all life?
The Event will also include immersive nature experiences, live music, art, and, most importantly, time for connection and meaningful dialogue with each other.

Sponsorships Opportunities
Four levels of sponsorship are offered:
- Platinum (R50 000+):
Three complimentary registrations (3 people, both days).
Logo included in event brochure.
Optional: provision of one – two tables in a prominent Atrium location to showcase your organization. - Gold (R30 000+):
Two complimentary registrations (2 people, both days).
Optional: provision of one – two tables in a prominent Atrium location to showcase your organization. - Silver (R20 000+):
Two complimentary registrations (2 people, both days).

PLEASE NOTE:
- All levels of sponsorship include recognition on the website and in several related promotional materials.
- Complimentary registrations must be assigned to specific individuals and may not be shared.
- There will also be unassigned tables available for literature distribution use by sponsors and other attendees.
- Sponsorship funds will be utilised towards improving various event experiences.
- As a Section 18A approved PBO, all sponsorships and/or donations are SARS Tax deductible.

Event Registration & Admission
Attendance of the annual International Forum Event is strictly by pre-booked tickets (CLICK HERE) only – please contact the Event organisers (CLICK HERE) directly should you have any questions, inquiries, or want to exhibit/sponsor/advertise at the event.
- 15% DISCOUNTED EARLY RATES available – To qualify for early rates, registration fees must be received before/on 31 March 2024. After this date, standard rates will apply.
- NB: Accommodation is Optional Extra
WHAT IS INCLUDED in REGISTRATION FEES:
- Entrance/attendance fees for event program;
- Event Resource material;
- Conference & Restaurant facilities;
- Daily Refreshments + 3 meals/day;
- Daily Nature Experiences and other Activities
WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED in REGISTRATION FEES:
- Accommodation (see special offer under “Venue” tab)
- Travel expenses to & from the venue destination
- Any personal expenses, drinks, shopping, insurance, etc.
Cancellation Policy
If you have registered and paid for an event but cannot attend, you may transfer your registration to a colleague without charge.
Full refunds, but less 10% admin fee, will be made up until two weeks prior to the event.
No refunds will be made for withdrawals subsequent to that date, or for non-attendance.

Accommodation (PPS) is available at the Lodge (optional extra).
The venue is less than 45 minutes’ drive from Lanseria International Airport and 60-90 minutes from Pretoria or Johannesburg.
NB: Guests that have booked accommodation for the 18th and/or 19th, are welcome to arrive on Sunday, the 20th of October and enjoy a free night’s accommodation on 20 October (pre-booking is essential and any meals on the 20th will be optional extra).
Food & Beverages
Coffee, tea, and fruit juice as well as light refreshments will be served before, during, and after the event, with daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner served.
Rules & Safety
Since the UCC is located within the greater Ukutula Game Reserve, the same safety rules will apply to guests at the UCC:
- Do NOT leave the vehicle as lions on a bush walk may be present
- Do NOT litter
- No loud noise or music allowed
- No private pets/animals allowed
- Please note gate times: 07:00 to 18:00

Accessibility / Directions
The best-suited venue with conference facilities will be selected from our list of approved partner venues in South Africa (view more).
The venue will be conveniently situated within an hour’s drive from Johannesburg and Pretoria. The reserve comprises 260 hectares of unspoiled bush veld boasting a variety of wildlife species, including predator and antelope species, giraffe, zebra, and more. The reserve is also home to more than 130 different bird species.
